Lola in Portugal

For the month of March, we had the pleasure and honour to research our new work, Lola, at Musibéria in Serpa, Portugal.

Musibéria is a extraordinary arts centre in the South of Portugal home to resident artists, workshops, and a recording studio.

We learned about the traditional, organic, and commercial processes in making Portugal’s finest olive oils–as well as “Made in Italy” brands.

Thank-You! We are incredibly grateful for the support we received from Musibéria staff in gathering the stories and traditions from the community especially at Olival da Risca, Maria Da Guarda, Escola Profissional de Desenvolvimento Rural de Serpa, and Serpa Lovers.

Now we look forward to sharing the completed work next spring!
