How to Prepare
- Have submitted registration pack to SQx, and understand What to Expect and How to Prepare for SQx’s arrival detailed in the registration pack.
- Have or will distribute Community Training & Performance Program Promo to staff
- Have or will distribute program video to staff (or staff & students—when appropriate)
- Have encouraged staff to assist SQx presenters
Fees do not reflect the true cost of the program. We do an enormous amount of fundraising internally to deliver this program as cheaply as possible to the public & private schools and community centres. For the most part, nominal fees above are often provided by school Parent Advisory Councils (PACs) or school boards. Again, the balance is generated from grants and foundations.
INTERACTIVE DELIVERY
1) SQx Demo
All students meet in gym, and we perform a selection of company repertoire (20 min).
2) Group Tasks (1 - 5 Days)
Students are divided into 6 - 14 working groups depending on fee option (eg: 3 groups in gym, multi-purpose room, classrooms, etc.) and work together to complete tasks. Session(s) are divided into: Physical warm-up, Repertoire, and team-building, focus, creative, and sports-based tasks.
3) Collaborative Performance
A collaborative performance featuring both SQx and participants is outlined and practiced—all together (20 min) and then shared staff, parents, and community.
